Willard T. “Waldo” Shider, 77, a lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, passed away, on Saturday, March 2, 2013 in Mon Valley Hospital. A son of the late Thomas and Elsie Otto Shider, he was born in Roscoe on July 9, 1935. Waldo retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Allenport Plant in 1992 after 38 years of service as a Blast Operator. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son Charles Shider and late wife Gloria Gant Shider . Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Jane H. Beazell Shider; a son, Randy Lee Shider and his companion Elsie of Connellsville; a daughter Lori Johnston of West Mifflin; a step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Willa Pawlak her husband Robert of North Ridgeville ,OH; many grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great grandchildren, step great grandchildren and step great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by his beloved cats, Tiger Lily and Suzie Q.
