Olga A. Shipitz, 88, of North Belle Vernon, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 16, 2013 in Mon Valley Hospital. A daughter of the late Andrew and Helen Garber Komlos, she was born in Monessen on August 26, 1924. Olga previously resided in Fayette City until moving to North Belle Vernon in 1965. She was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. Survivors include a son, George F. Shipitz, Jr. of Columbia, SC; a daughter and son-in-law, Helen Joyce and Harry Jones of Elizabeth; four grandchildren, James Dzatko and Joshua, Nathan and Monica Shipitz and one great-grandson, Caleb Shipitz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George F. Shipitz, Sr., on February 6, 1972; and five brothers, John, Andrew, Emil, Michael and George Komlos. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M.
